Terms and Conditions for Public Speaking Engagements
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (hereafter referred to as "Agreement") govern the engagement of Sandra Kiers (hereafter referred to as "Speaker") for public speaking events (hereafter referred to as "Event") organized by the client (hereafter referred to as "Client"). By booking the Speaker, the Client agrees to these terms.
2. Booking and Confirmation
2.1. All bookings must be confirmed in writing via email or contract.
2.2. The booking is only considered confirmed once a signed agreement is received and a deposit is paid (if applicable).
3. Fees and Payment
3.1. The speaking fee will be agreed upon during the booking process and outlined in the contract.
3.2. A deposit of [percentage]% is required upon booking, with the balance due [number] days before the Event.
3.3. Payments can be made via [payment methods].
4. Travel and Accommodation
4.1. For live events within Europe, travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by the Client.
4.2. The Client will provide or reimburse for reasonable travel expenses, including airfare, ground transportation, and lodging.
5. Event Details
5.1. The Client must provide detailed information about the Event, including date, time, location, audience size, and technical requirements.
5.2. Any changes to the Event details must be communicated promptly to the Speaker.
6. Cancellation and Rescheduling
6.1. If the Client cancels the Event, the following cancellation fees apply:
- More than 30 days before the Event: No charge.
- 15-30 days before the Event: 50% of the speaking fee.
- Less than 15 days before the Event: 100% of the speaking fee.
6.2. The Speaker reserves the right to cancel the engagement due to unforeseen circumstances, with a full refund of any fees paid.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1. The content of the Speaker’s presentation is protected by copyright.
7.2. The Client may not record, reproduce, or distribute the Speaker's presentation without prior written consent.
8. Liability
8.1. The Speaker is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the Event.
8.2. The Client agrees to indemnify and hold the Speaker harmless from any claims arising from the Event.
9. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands.
10. Acceptance
By booking the Speaker, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
